In 1989 the World Health Organization on May 31 each year as "World No Tobacco Day", warned people to smoke polluting the environment, harmful to health; appeal to all the world's smokers World No Tobacco Day in the initiative to stop or give up smoking; appeal tobacco marketing units and individuals, in this day voluntarily stop public sales activities and a variety of tobacco advertising. 
       May 31, 1995 World Health Organization in the first eight "World No Tobacco Day" issued a statement on the occasion of the arrival announcement with 1.1 billion smokers in the world currently consumes 6 trillion cigarettes a year, there are 300 million people each year due to smoking diseases caused death. In the world, especially in developing countries, smokers are still increasing, the world would fear health hazards of smoking, environmental pollution and lead to fires and other consequences that insight, social groups, international organizations and governments have participated in and organized "anti-smoking" campaign.
